We set out to better understand how a household interacts before grocery shopping. Our research let us know who would benefit from sharing their list.
Intuitive Interface
We did our homework. Our design is more than just clean and modern. It is intuitive and easy to use. This is what users want from a mobile app.
Prototype Testing
We let our users play with our prototype before moving foward. We listened to them and learned from them to make the interface better.
Features List
Grocery lists are built with family / partner communication. Users want a list that is easy to create. We are giving them just that.
Organize by Category
An item can be placed into common grocery store categories, such as diary, or meat, so the user knows where to go.
Reuse Lists
For weekly shoppers, many items may be repeated. Having a list they can reuse and then customize that week will save time.
Real Time Updates
The list will update in real time. This will allow other users immediately know an item on the shared list has been edited.
Multiple Users, one account
No need for users to share an email for this app. Users can easily add people to share their list.
Superior Usability
Users are frustrated with the way they currently communicate their grocery list and the limited number of features found on current grocery list apps. An app with all the features will let users communicate easily and efficiently.
Use The Mic
Making use of the microphone on smart phones is a superior way to increase efficiency and appeal to users.
Add photo
This would be an optional feature. A photo can be used with an item on the list to facilitate communication between patterns or spouses.
Add Comments
The user can add comments to a list or item on the list. This will allow users to save their thoughts or communicate an idea.
Import Lists
Every user is unique and enters data from different sources. For this reason, it is critical to let users easily cut and paste from various sources.
